PORTRAIT

Born in 1991, Mathieu Delacroix is a french Designer graduated from Higher Education School in Art and Design of Saint-Etienne from which he graduated in 2016.

In 2013, , while still a student, he won the ORANGE Young Designer Competition. In 2015, his Kuro project is showcased in the « Mirage » exhibition organised by the F93 Cultural Center. The same year, he went studying in Japan, in Nagoya City University of Design. The designer remains strongly linked to what he has learnt in Japan, relating his knowledge to his work. He participated in the Fukushima Mon Amour » exhibition, commissioned by the local city council for the 2016 Milano Triennale. His work once again received attention at the Global Grade Show at Dubai Design Week 2017.

More recently, he won the First Prize of Cinna Young Talent #11 for his wood vases collection called Tasso. The year 2021 saw his first collaboration with the fine art gallery Ségolène Brosette. Finally, he will present his first collection of luxury furniture under the Collection Particulière brand at the 2023 Milan Furniture Fair.

In 2017, Mathieu Delacroix settled in Paris. He has been working for several years with prestigious design practices including Mathilde Bretillot, Frédéric Forest & Clémentine Giaconia, Guillaume Delvigne or Studio Adrien Gardère.

At the same time, he develops his own projects by exploring multiple design fields, ranging from interior design to industrial design through private commission. This is how he frequently collaborates with french such as international companies. In addition, Mathieu has recently initiated a work of research in which he explores the boundaries between art and design through close collaboration with several Parisian galleries.

Engaged in an approach focused on the synergy between drawings and personal sensibilities, Mathieu Delacroix's creations have been recognized through various media (press, web, radio) and have taken part in several exhibitions in France and around the world.

Mathieu Delacroix still continues his exploration of design at every scale in order to shape products that are always emotionally linked to our lives.
